Land Rover/Range Rover in Philadelphia has produced many popular vehicles. Some have been more intriguing than others. While the Defender will remain an icon for the Land Rover brand, the Evoque represents a milestone, an inspired rendition. It was an affordable Land Rover.
The Range Rover Evoque
The Evoque, a SUV, debuted in 2011. It was a pioneer for the company in many ways. It had an EcoBoost engine and had abandoned the often bone-rattling body-on-frame, therefore, improving the overall ride. It was designed using aluminum, creating a light frame that was intended to improve handling both on the roads and streets of Philadelphia and off-road in “anywhere USA.” This was proof to doubters that the Evoque and the company had not abandoned the raison d’être of Land Rovers.
This was the first generation. It spanned from 2011 until 2018, receiving an update in 2014 and further changes, including a major facelift for the period 2016 to 2019. The work involved including and improving more safety features. Such inclusion of Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and Wade Sensing. The second generation covers from 2019/2020 into 2024. It continues to improve the basic nature of this luxurious SUV.
